Exciting news! Our story will be heard again!

We have been invited to join a group of people organising a Conference on April 21st, called Wolverhampton Welcomes the World: Many Rivers to Cross. The University of Wolverhampton, the Class of 68 (ex West Park students), a group of artists, and Stand Up to Racism want us to perform our play again as the opening event at this Conference. The event will be a celebration of solidarity, unity and multiculturalism. MP Eleanor Smith will attend the performance of West Park Welcomes the World! at school and lead a discussion afterwards about the themes the play raises, particularly those relating to racism and resistance, on the 50th anniversary of Enoch Powell's 'Rivers of Blood' speech. We are thrilled to get another opportunity to tell the school's important, positive story of true multiculturalism to a wider audience at this exciting community event. The Conference will then continue in the evening at the Heritage Centre, with a panel of speakers and then DJs.
